Newly formed motor retail group Eden Vauxhall has launched its website complete with a suite of special features including a ‘sales consultant free zone’ providing customers with the ability to evaluate their part exchange vehicle and broker a deal online.
Eden Vauxhall, which has adopted the strapline ‘a better world of motoring' to describe its customer and employee-centric culture, selected Progress DMS as its web partner to create a website as progressive as the group itself.
It resulted in the development of leading automotive web developer and IT provider Progress DMS's most ambitious project to date.
All the Progress DMS automotive retail website hallmarks are incorporated in www.edenvauxhall.co.uk including:- new model information; new car offers; group offers; accessories; servicing; online service bookings; and, of course, a user-friendly used car locator.
However, the website also contains some extra-special features particularly its ‘sales consultant free zone'.
Explains Eden Vauxhall managing director Graeme Potts: "We launched the group with the aim of literally creating ‘a better world or motoring' and our website had to encompass that outlook so we needed it to be very different to anything else out there. We wanted to make the selection and buying process as easy as possible for buyers and our ‘sales consultant free zone' means a browser can calculate their vehicle's part-exchange value, select the car of their choice complete with optional extras and work out a finance deal - all at the touch of a button.
"Our sales executives then have all the information at hand to take the proposal practically through to completion."
In addition, www.edenvauxhall.co.uk offers a complete new car configurator and finance calculator. As well as monthly repayments, buyers can even work out their finance settlement figure. The website's used car locator is equally impressive enabling vehicles to be selected by model, derivative or location as well as incorporating features which flags new arrivals and recently discounted stock.
Adds Graeme: "We gave Progress DMS a tough brief. We had what we thought was an innovative and challenging request of what our website would be like and we believed we'd have to be reigned in. However, we are staggered that our wish list has been turned into reality and we're delighted with our website which I believe is amongst the best in the business."
