Progress DMS partner with Codeweavers

Progress DMS, in association with online finance software specialists Codeweavers, has upgraded the Used Car locators for L&L Automotive and Eden Vauxhall to offer online finance and insurance quotations on Used Cars.

Established in 2001, Codeweavers provides automotive financial services for web applications. Based in Stoke on Trent, they have become firmly established as the market leaders in the web enabling of all aspects of financial services for the automotive and associated industries.

For the past few months, Progress has been busy developing online Used Car finance quotations in conjunction with Codeweavers. The development work between Progress and Codeweavers went live on both the L&L Automotive and Eden Vauxhall websites at the end of March.

The functionality offered by the Codeweavers finance and insurance products takes used car locators to the next level. Instead of a simple cash price for each Used Car in stock, finance quotes are provided for both Hire Purchase and PCP for each car (assuming the finance scheme is applicable) based on some default parameters of term/mileage and deposit. Users then have the ability to view by monthly payment the cars that they can afford to buy, and what's more, can change the parameters to further tailor the finance quote to their individual circumstances. Once happy, they can apply for the finance product online.

The addition of PCP and HP quotations to Used Cars on both websites is already returning promising results, with the time on site increasing steadily since the introduction of the service, as people are taking longer to investigate the possibilities of which models they can afford. The finance products mirror those used in the dealer's showroom, allowing prospective buyers to do much of the research themselves - resulting in a more qualified customer that ultimately walks through the showroom door to buy their new car. And all of this without the pressure of a salesman or business manager, simply from the comfort of their own home.

In addition, using Codeweavers Insurance quotation software a personalised insurance quote for each car can be returned in less than 30 seconds by completing a simple details form, enabling customers to then review and buy policies from some of the UK's biggest insurers.
